Don't stress, here are some helpful handy hints...
- Check the acidity level on the label. Higher acid=stronger taste. Most are 4-7% acid. 5-6% acid is acceptable for most dishes.
- Red wine based vinegars are great for salads & Mediterranean type dishes.
- Apple cider vinegar is wonderful for vegetable type salads, including potato salad.
- White vinegar is good for all your cleaning needs. (check other posts here)
- Rice vinegar, which has a mild flavor, is the choice for Asian inspired dishes.
- Balsamic is, of course, my personal #1 choice for salads, marinades, gravies, soups, & when reduced, is a tongue tantalizing treat on fruits, brushetta, etc.
